Stack Exchange at the Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim release
Representatives of CHAOS (a covert-ish branch of Stack Exchange) took a trip to Union Square in NYC to pay a visit to the lines formed for the midnight release of the Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Their mission: to spread the word about the launch party happening Friday, November 11th.
All weekend long, Gaming.StackExchange.com will be hosting a competition between CALL OF DUTY: MODERN WARFARE 3 and THE ELDER SCROLLS V: SKYRIM. Which game will generate the most questions, answers, votes and views? Who will win?

Stack Exchange at the NYC Lightsaber Battle
Abby and I represented CHAOS at the NYC Lightsaber Battle in Washington Square Park on Saturday night. Stack Exchange provided event planners Newmindspace with 35 Jedi robes to give out to 35 lucky Jedi-in-training (Padawans, if you will). Abby and I also handed out exclusive Star Wars-themed Stack Exchange stickers to a couple hundred of the hundreds of people in attendance. The battle itself was a ridiculous amount of fun for everyone there, including the spectators. It was a real only-in-New-York experience to see people from every walk of life playfully unite to live out their inner Jedi fantasies.
Keep an eye on Newmindspace’s website for future events. This type of all-inclusive fun is what the world needs more of. Also, the world needs more stickers (we ran out).
